The United States of America on the eve of transforming the KSF into the army helped this force with military equipment.
However, military equipment assistance is considered less vital for the future Kosovo Army from Great Britain, as its ambassador to Kosovo, Ruairi O'Connell, has cited other support they have given Kosovo on its journey as a state.
The United Kingdom has backed Kosovo's Armed Force and the Kosovo Protection Corps over the years. We've had special focus on training officers and sub-commission officers, which will be the nucleus of this force in the future”.
And we've also worked in a whole range of other areas, which I think are of vital importance in Kosovo's development, such as rule of law, fighting corruption, against nepotism, economic development, democratic culture, and with issues inherited from the past, and many other cases”.
But when via Facebook Ambassador O'Connell was asked if besides supporting the British Army would help Kosovo with military equipment he had such an answer:
And frankly we appreciate our cooperation with KSF, but it's very interesting to me to ask if we're giving you military equipment. Are you really thinking that this is the most important thing Kosovo needs now?
