More than a thousand Serbs protested today in the northern part of Mitrovica against Pristina's fee towards Serbian and Bosnian goods imposed by the Kosovo government.
Clinical and Hospital Centre Director Milan Ivanovic unveiled the protest demands, through which it is required by Brussels to impose economic and political sanctions on authorities in Pristina until the removal of the fee on Serbian goods and respect for the CEFTA agreement.
Northern Serbs also seek guarantees that Kosovo Police and Security Force special units do not go north, as well as Serbian representatives not return to Kosovo institutions until the tariff is lifted.
The situation is serious and difficult, but we're all here to say we're not leaving our homes. Our country will not allow ethnic cleansing and violence against Serbs” said Ivanovic in front of the headquarters of the European Union and EULEX in the north.
