Three models through which the US can be introduced into Kosovo- Serbia

US President Donald Trump's letter, sent to address the president of the Republic of Kosovo, Hashim Thaci and Serbian Aleksandar Vuciq, openly showed American interest in involvement in the Kosovo-Serbia dialogue in finding a final and historic solution to be celebrated in Washington. But what could be the forms of involvement [...]
But what can be the forms of US involvement in this process? According to the Serbian medium '%Danas', the US in this process can be included in three forms.
The first one can be named “Kissinger'sModel”. A model that would include Secretary of State Mike Pompeii and National Security Adviser John Bolton. However, this model is not very possible, since both American politicians do not seem willing to take on such a difficult task that takes too long.
Another form of US involvement in negotiations, according to newspaper sources, could be “Holbrooke's Moldelite”, which would imply the involvement of a high-level envoy for talks.
This model is about someone who has a long diplomatic experience, who would enjoy the trust of the president of the United States of America, and who would work closely with the Secretary of State. In the case of Kosovo, this model is more likely than that of Kissinger, but remains to be seen who the US president will trust most, given Trump's temperament and the frequent shift he makes to accomplices”, this diplomat told APUDanas, broadcast the Express.
A third form of American involvement in the Kosovo-Serbia dialogue, diplomats say it's the Traditional Modeli”. In this context, long career diplomats can get involved in negotiations, and at the very end of the process, the president of the US or Secretary of State can join, finalise the agreement, and prepare the signing ceremony. But such a model is seen as impossible, because many foreign policy experts have left, or the Trump Administration has fired them.
However, these diplomats under anonymity conditions for “Danas” say that despite the fact that the US is interested in finding a solution for Kosovo “Currently, the Trump administration is not co-ordinated for this and there are complaints about the lack of strategic planning of the White House, and the situation is expected to be further complicated after January, when the Democrats are expected to take over the House of Representatives”.
As for Dacic's statements that the US is aiming to find a solution for Kosovo and Serbia of the Egypt-Israel model, diplomats say such a solution cannot come soon, as it is about mutual recognition between the two states.
