According to Tahiri, it is not up to this court to announce the Justice Minister about the interviews.
I have not waited, informed, nor expected to be informed of their work. It is not the matter of the justice minister being informed by prosecutors in Kosovo or any prosecutor with another mandate. The Special Court has partners in the police, judiciary and me under the competencies we have. They're the prosecutor with a certain mandate and I don't expect as minister, as a political person, to announce who will be interviewed, whether in the witness's quality or as accused”.
Minister Tahiri announced that he has so far rejected any requests for extradition of someone linked to the alleged crimes of the Special Court.
In Info Magazine, he also announced that under the Ministry of Justice a separate office has been established in connection with the Special Court's potential indictees.
Kosovo's “Republic on the basis of two laws establishing the Special Court has taken over the protection of potentially accused persons and financial coverage of their family visits to the Netherlands. I've established an office, currently made up of four people, who will take over the implementation of legal responsibilities”.
As for Kosovo-Serbia dialogue and the functioning of the Special Court, Tahiri said these are two processes with different mandates and that they are fully divided.
