Mayors make only 9 out of 108 promises

Few promises have been fulfilled by three mayors of the Pristina region (Podujevo, Fushe-Kosovo and Obilic). Of the 108 promises made during the 2017 election campaign, according to the Institute for Advanced Studies GAP, only 9 of the municipal leaders have fulfilled them by July.
Meanwhile, 8 are half fulfilled, 41 have started and the rest have not yet begun. The largest number of promises is the head of Fushe-Kosovo, Burim Berisha, 42, then Obilic's Jafer Gashi, 34 and finally Agim Veliu of Podujevo with 32 promises. The municipal leader of Gracanica, Srdjan Popovic, does not figure on the platform. Senior researcher in this Institute, Bekim Salihu, has said that the Gracanica municipality as well as all municipalities led by the Serb minority have participated in the election, but have not conducted active campaigns.
On the GAP platform is seen as the head of the Fushe-Kosovo municipality, Burim Berisha (LDK), by the end of July, 5 promises have been completed, 2 have been half fulfilled, 14 have started and 21 others have not yet started.
Obilic Community Chairman Xhafer Gashi (AAK), according to the GAP Institute, has made 34 promises during the election campaign.
Most projects are street asphalt. By the end of July, Gashi has managed to complete only 1 promise, 4 is half finished, 17 has started and 12 have not yet started.
The mayor of the Podujevo municipality, Agim Veliu (LDK), according to GAP, made 32 promises during the election campaign. On the GAP platform it is seen that Agim Veliu has completed three promises, 2 is half finished, another 10 has begun, and 17 has not yet begun.
