The serious situation has been created in the metallural Nation “Trepca”, this company that is marking a major drop in production and has no financial stability.
However, although the law for “Three has been adopted two years ago, it still remains under the administration of the Kosovar Privatisation Agency(AKP). Also, Trepca is not expressing interest in any foreign investor.
The chairman of the Trepca Board, Ardian Syla, has said in an interview for KosovoPress, that because of the non-registering and lack of the will of Kosovo Assembly deputies for the adoption of a draft statute for “Trepca”, the situation remains unstable in this company.
While, the board's chairman said the company's census is necessary for bringing the process to the end of transforming the AKP company into action society.
Syla has said the AKP has banned any liquidation or privatisation activities of any Trepca asset.
However, the chairman of the Trepca Board, Ardian Syla, has said that the asset management of “Treps” north of Mitrovica does not report to this board, because according to him, this is a sensitive issue.
Syla has also talked about demands of the “Trepce” Union on social issues. He has said that two working groups have been created, one group that will work on assessing the assets of “Treps”, as well as the other group, which the union has introduced.
The two groups, according to him, have finished their work, and a report has been submitted to the Ministry of Economic Development. The requirements stemming from both social and asset issues, Syla has said to be injected into the draft final statute, which would go to the Kosovo Assembly because social issues are regulated by separate laws.
