This is the contents of French President Emmanuel Macron's letter to President Thaci:
Dear President,
I was honored by your presence in Paris on November 11th, along with ninety-seven heads of state, heads of government and directors of international organisations.
Thank you warmly.
Your participation in the commemoration of the 100th anniversary of the end of World War I and the First Peace Forum in Paris has been particularly important.
It enabled the solemn and emotional honor of millions of victims of a tragedy that deeply marked the memory of our peoples and guided the fate of the world.
It enabled us politicians, as aware as we are about the teachings of the past and the complexity of the challenges we face, to reaffirm commitment to peace and readiness to strengthen dialogue and collective action.
Stressing again the enormous satisfaction I had of welcoming you on November 11, 2018, as well as my gratitude for your presence on this symbolic day, please accept, Mr. President, the expression of my highest consideration.
