The Democratic League of Kosovo and the Vetevendosje Movement say they will address the Constitutional Court regarding President Hashim Thaci's decision on the composition of the CEC. These two parties say they belong to two representatives in the CEC and not to one, as Thaci has decided.
The two largest opposition parties in the country, the Democratic League of Kosovo and the Vetevendosje Movement, say they belong to two representatives at the Central Election Commission, rather than one representative, as President Hashim Thaci has decided.
Therefore, these two parties warn Thaci that they will address the Constitutional Court on the issue. Meanwhile, connoisseurs of constitutional issues say the opposition could address the Constitutional Office only after President Thaci has signed the decree for the appointment of new CEC members.
They say that according to the 2014 Constitutional Court's decision, the basis of the Convention Constitution and, in the same analogy, the delegation of members of the CEC is the election result of pre-election parties or coalitions.
