“Hill International”, the world leader of construction risk management, has announced that it has been chosen by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (BERZH) to ensure, as the leader of a joint venture, the monitoring services for improving Elez's Kosovo Railway Line Han.
The project is expected to improve the railway link between Kosovo and the wider European network through the X Corridor, connecting Fushe Kosovo with the border with Macedonia.
The current contract refers to the first phase, of three, which are financed by the EURZHI and the European Investment Union Framework in the Western Balkans, which will last 48 months and includes regulating the improvement of 64 km of railway to adapt to European standards for up to 120 km per hour, unlike the current 40-60 km per hour, writes “euroinvestor”, Korate.
