Kosovo's Oda of Afarism Board Chairman Skender Krasniqi in an interview for Telegrafi has said Kosovo should renegotiate the CEFTA Agreement.
Krasniqi has said Kosovo should apply as a state.
Kosovo, due to the moment of signing CEFTA in 2006 by the Government of Kosovo, has been an extraordinary obstacle to regional development, has been an extraordinary failure of the then government because they have not signed on terms and protection of products, as most countries have protected, where all products that entered Kosovo have had zerox1> tax, Krasniqi said.
He added that Kosovo from CEFTA should leave as UNMIK and apply as a state.
“We from the beginning have demanded that Kosovo exit CEFTA as UNMIK, because in 2008 we have declared independence and are a sovereign state. We dare not be represented in any international institutions like UNMIK or as another state, and that is contrary to the Kosovo Constitution. We have requested that this opportunity be used for Kosovo to announce CEFTA and leave as UNMIK and apply as the Kosovo republic”, he added.
Krasniqi has talked about the problems facing the private sector in the country, as well as the facilities business should be created to increase the number of employees and the 100 per cent tax on products from Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina.
