The Ministry of Environment has announced that as a result of the success this campaign has achieved, the Letés Do It Wild has declared Kosovo to be the most active and successful state in the <x0ndWeld Cleanup Day 2018” campaign.
On the occasion of the end of the campaign, Environment and Spatial Planning Minister Fatmir Matosi and Lette Do It Kosova Director Luan Hasanaj thanked members of the task force for their institutional engagement, municipalities, civil society, volunteers, the media and all Kosovo citizens for their commitment to Kosovo cleansing.
After the end of this campaign, on January 10, 2019, the price sharing ceremony for the most active and successful municipalities in this campaign will be provided with funds for realisation of environmental projects for 2019.
“The Ministry of Environment and Spatial Planning and Lettés Do Itt Kosova urge municipalities to post this cleaning campaign to engage in maintaining public spaces, not allow the creation of new illegal depots, to implement the directive for mandated penalties, work on extending waste services, and creating green areas. They also appeal to citizens for not throwing waste out of the designated sites to keep Kosovo clean”, the ministry's announcement said.
