Kosovo Army Declaration Required for Zaev to Change in Macedonia

Juriser Nasser Ziberi estimates Zaev should withdraw his stance on the Kosovo Army, as he said it conflicts with the government's decision to recognise Kosovo as an independent state and with Albanian voters supporting the LSDM in the elections.

“I think the prime minister will have to be corrected in the coming period because such a statement conflicts with the state position of the Republic of Macedonia, whose state he is prime minister, conflicts with coalition partners on whose behalf the government is incompatible with a considerable number of voters who have led him to the position of Prime Minister Zaev, conflicts with many of NATO's neighbours, even with NATO members, in front of Albania, if Kosovo is, with the US and all structures where Macedonia should integrate. Nikola Dujovski also stresses that Zaev, through yesterday's statement, has tried to show his loyalty to NATO. Kosovo's support from Albanian parties in Macedonia is natural, Dujovski says.

Macedonia's “Policy is to support NATO's stance. Now we are in a period where state politics have to do with following the policies of the NATO alliance, which clearly said the time is not right now. Albanian political parties in the UK will continue to support the policies of their friends in the north, but it does not mean that our policy will be changed. Numerous reactions to social networks have also been observed by Albanian citizens in Macedonia, towards the position of Prime Minister Zaev, that Kosovo has made a hasty decision to form the military.
