European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker said today that despite Prime Minister Theresa May's failure to provide sufficient support for the ratification of the withdrawal agreement in the British Parliament, there is no possibility for Brex renegotiation.
Juncker at the EU leaders' summit in Strasbourg said that “has no room for new negotiations” regarding the departure of Great Britain from the European Union.
There is no possibility for re-negotia, this is good and the only possible agreement, but there is still room for further clarification and interpretation”, Juncker said.
He warned that he would meet with Prime Minister May after it pushed the vote on the Brex deal due to lack of votes.
According to him, in the debate on preparation for the European Council session on December 13th and 14th Brex once again will be the subject of EU leaders and this week's summit in Brussels.
The Agreement will not quit. Everyone knows that and therefore has no room for renegotiation,” reiterated the first man of the European Commission.
