The charges will also be brought against the Israeli prime minister's wife, who appears to be involved in the issue, which is the leader Netanyah's third corruption case.
Authorities claim that Netanyahu gave regulatory favour to “Bemail Israel Telecom”, in exchange for more positive coverage of him and his wife on a company-owned website.
Netanyahu himself denies any charge of the case, but it now appears he will face charges from the country's police, expected to hand over the indictment to the tribunal soon.
The Israeli prime minister is not going through a period of no good, following the resignation of one of his ministers, coming from a party in a coalition with that of Netanyah.
Currently, the ruling coalition in Israel has been significantly weakened, and there has been calls to resign and pave the way for early elections.
