Kosovo's eventual opportunity for membership in U NESTO will be only in 2019, when the General Conference of this organisation is expected.
National Co-ordinator for Culture, Youth and Sports Rexhep Hoti said that Kosovo's lobby requires co-ordination between institutions, but did not mention whether it will apply for membership next year and what is the plan for the issue.
“is constantly coming up with some states that can be influenced by the effects on the Russian side or even the material impacts, but this will not stop or hesitate our institutions to engage and in any case that we will be shown the need to join the U. NESTO, to be used because the state of the Republic of Kosovo can achieve successes only in its continued attempt to be part of U. NESTO's”
“In this direction requires strong commitment from the Government of Kosovo, from MPJ from the MKRS, we should be more compact to our membership requirements”.
According to Hoti, Kosovo membership in U NESTO has become a problematic issue, following Serbia's commitment to Kosovo.
But he says that after the Kosovo government's tax on the Serbian state, the neighbouring state has taken Kosovo seriously, Online Economy reports.
“You are witnesses that Kosovo membership in U NESTO has become a problem with a problem that is being dealt with in relation to the commitments of neighbouring Serbia countries that are causing us extraordinary problems”.
“I think that Serbia for the first time after the 100% Kosovo tax has taken Kosovo's behaviour as a state seriously, this is just the beginning, Serbia will understand every day and more that Kosovo is a very serious state”.
Hoti even said U NESTO is not aware of the importance of Kosovo's cultural heritage.
Kosovo's “Republic has exceptional cultural heritage, is a country that is born the cradle of world civilisation. To U NESTO probably don't even have general knowledge of our cultural heritage, but not Kosovo in U NESTO means no world civilization in the Gulf of States which is part of U NESTO's”
For Kosovo's accession to U NCO needs 95 votes “for”, meaning two-thirds of the overall vote of countries participating in the U General Conference NESTO.
