Kosovo's Statistics Agency has published the Import Awards Index for the third quarter of 2018 showing that the import price in Kosovo has been raised by 0.5 percent.
The overall import prices index in Kosovo rose 0.1% to TM3 2018, compared to the second quarter of 2018. Larger price hikes per sectors included: mineral products (5.6 %); shoes (4.8%); skin and articles from it (2.5%); chemical industries (1.8%); plastic, rubber and articles from them (1.7%); various items produced (1.5%); living animals and products (1.4%); stone articles, mortar, ceramics and glass products (0.8%); food items prepared, drinks and tobacco (06%); optical instruments, cameras, cards, musical instruments, and such as musical equipment and telephones (0.0.0.0%); and wooden (02%); and wood supply (0%).
“Ration neutralised, mainly due to declining prices according to sectors in plant products
(-6.9 %); textile and articles from it (-2.7%); machine and electric equipment (-0.8%); nutrients (-0.3%); and the basic metals and articles from them (-0.1%)”, it says in the ASS report.
“Plus, compared to TM3 2018 to TM3 2017, import prices rose to an average of 2.2%. Larger establishments in sectors were in: mineral products (20.5%); plastic, rubber and articles from them (5.7%); wood and articles from it (3.9%); stone articles, mortar, ceramic and glass products (2.8%); basic metals and articles from them (2.3%); chemical industry products (2.0%); transport vehicles (1.4%); skin and items from it (1.0%); nutrients (02%); and optical instruments, cameras, measurements, macinals, and musical mechanisms, as well as (02%).
The rise was neutralised, mainly by falling prices according to sectors: plant products (-14.2%); shoes (10.0%); paper and articles from it (-7.3%); textile and articles from it (-3.9%); living animals and products (-2.2%); prepared food items, drink and tobacco (-1.1%); machinery and electric equipment (-1.1%), and various products produced via 1.5%).
