Professor Claudius Smiraglia University of Milan, which explains that: “in the space of a little over a century has lost nearly half its area” is expressed by Smaglia.
In the mid - nineteenth century, an area of some 20 square miles [20 sq km] has been covered, but today lies less than four square miles [10 sq km].
If you don't change the climate, by the end of the century the glacier will be reduced to small chunks of ice.
The progressive collapse of the Forni glacier and the consequent destruction of mountain water reserves that have negative impacts on biodiversity and population to the current, for the economy, it is not clear the only effect of climate change in our country”.
To prove the impact of climate change, in Italy and across the planet, “Greenpeace Italy” organised a photo exhibition.
Which will be open to the public from today to March 10, 2019, at the Museum of Rome in Trastevere.
