We present you to the hero of the year Vasfije Krasniqi Goodman

It has taken almost 20 years for the world to hear aloud and picture one of the most sad stories of war. Vasfije Krasniqi-Goodman has for the first time unveiled her personal history of rape by Serbian forces during the war.

Her case occurred in the municipality of Vushtrri in April 1999. She had started her battle for justice in 2012, and two violators -- Jovica Denjanovic and Djordje Bokykovic -- were sentenced to 12 years in prison, respectively. But after first complaints at Appeals and later in the Supreme One, the latter set them free, saying that the same had not been proved to have done the same work. The case is re-opened by justice only after public witnessing.

That fact also helped Krasniqi get the status of the victim of sexual violence of war, as her original app had been rejected. This was exploited by politicians, mostly President Thaci, who offered her gratitude.

The confession that shocked Kosovo makes Mrs. Vasfije a survival heroin, and an example for other women and other men to speak and denounce one of the most serious crimes of the Serb conqueror during the war. /Periscopi
