The country's prime minister, Ramush Haradinaj, has responded through an EU chief diplomat, Frederica Moghrini, about the request to suspend the tax imposed on products of Serbia and Bosnia.
In the letter that has assured Klan Kosova, Prime Minister Haradinaj tells Mogher that even 20 years after the war, 10 years after independence and five years after reaching the agreement in Brussels, “reality in the progress of normalisation of reports between Kosovo and Serbia has been minimal”.
There is no reason to blame for the situation we find ourselves in now; because you are all aware of reality. What we need now is a new initiative for establishing dialogue at a level where issues such as tariffs are included in a wider” solution.
I would be very happy to meet next Monday and explain my views more widely, and hear an answer. The role of the EU is crucial to reaching a final agreement, I strongly believe that with your commitment a resolution is possible”.
