Defence Ministry spokesman Artsrun Hovhannisyan said the two-nation plane crashed during a regular training mission Tuesday.
He said the plane was founded by Gyumri and crashed in the mountains near Maralik in northwest Armenia.
The impact of a fighter plane is not yet clear.
Su-25 is under two engines, designed in the Soviet Union in the 1970s.
It remains at services in Russia and several other former Soviet countries.
