Government seeks American involvement in dialogue

Kosovo Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj has called for America's biggest role in Kosovo dialogue, Serbia.

In a statement to reporters, after meeting with the Third Stabilisation and Association Council between Kosovo and the European Union in Brussels, Haradinaj has said that at the meeting he has expressed Kosovo's demand for visa liberalisation and equal representation in regional developments.

“Sapo conducted the Council meeting, third in a row, the meeting for the base has Kosovo's European agenda, ticketing relations, implementation of ERA and other parameters. Part of the conversation focused on recent developments in Kosovo, the region and dialogue. I was able to present Kosovo's positions. Kosovo has some legitimate requirements for the EU. The first is visa liberalisation, we have met the conditions, we live in the ghetto is unfair to keep us like this. Regional developments also require an equality of parties since Kosovo is an independent state declared on February 17th 2008 confirmed by the International Court. Haradinaj has said he does not know why the media conference with Federica Moghrin has been cancelled.

He has further confirmed that Kosovo requires a comprehensive agreement with Serbia, and not to have partial “solutions, such as the example of the tax on Serbian goods”.

The government has prepared a draft for this potential agreement, while parliament has voted a delegation. The government supports the president and delegation in representing Kosovo with a comprehensive substance, but we can have time to settle partially, for example, tariffs. We cannot resolve it partially, but with an agreement meaning recognition and seating at the UN”, Haradinaj has added.
