According to some sources, Syria is expected to return as a member of the Arab League within the coming year. Standing side by side with the Saudi prince and the Egyptian autocrat, Assad's return to the organisation is estimated to be the death of the Arab “consentor” as hopes for popular revolutions are being suppressed by the new generation of Middle Eastern powers.
Syria was expelled from the Arab League in 2011 due to violent response to opposition protests. However, the use of violence had not stopped the uprising that later turned into civil war.
Sources of the British newspaper “The Guardian” have indicated that there is an ever broader consensus among the 22 member states for Syria's accession to the Arab League, writes “The Guardian
