French authorities have announced the massive engagement of security forces, until many tourist spots are said to be closed on December 8th due to the possibility of outbreak of violence during the planned anti-government protests.
Protesters of the so-called “Justices of Verde”, who are initially angry at the new fuel taxes, are expected to march in Paris for the third week in a row, noting yet more disappointment against the leadership of France's president, Emmanuel Macron.
Museums, theaters, and many shops in Paris are said to be closed, including the famous Eiffel Tower.
Protests are expected to continue, despite why on December 5th Macron has suspended the increase in fuel taxes, which have sparked protests.
Macron has made that decision within his plans to fight global warming.
Prime Minister Edouard Philippe has told TF1 television that 89,000 police officials will be engaged on 8 December throughout France, increasing the number of 65,000 as they were last week.
He has said 8,000 of them will be positioned in Paris, backed by “the” armed vehicles.
