The EU Enlargement Commissioner Johannes Hahn himself delivered this bad news to Kosovo's citizens, which last week was for a visit to Kosovo.
Those most desperate are citizens who were promised that within this year visas will be removed.
Now after this statement, citizens are demanding that someone take responsibility and resign for this failure. Mentor Rama says that for all the promises they have made this year, starting with European Integration Minister and all others who have had visa jobs would have to resign.
Kadri Soeva, who says leaving their posts is the minimum responsibility that the leaders of institutions would have to do, has the same opinion. Even Idriz Halaj, says he is desperate that visas have not been removed. He even says he is tired of promises already made by politicians on the issue.
That Kosovo citizens have deserved visa liberalisation, says International Law Professor Africa Hoti.
According to him, Kosovo institutions have shown negligence in closely conveying the entire visa liberalisation process. E For this, Hoti says the minimum responsibility would be the resignation of acts of institutions that are involved in the visa liberalisation issue.
Not wanting to name names, Hoti says it is the time of the end for Kosovo institutions to install responsibility. The issue of visa liberalisation for Kosovo is now in the EU Council of Ministers, and for that in his visit to Kosovo, EU Commissioner for Neighborship and Negotia, Johannes Hahn, has declared that liberalisation could occur in 2020.
Nearly all leaders of Kosovo institutions during the year have publicly declared that Kosovo's citizens will be able to travel visa-free to Europe at the end of the year.
