The number of children with breathing problems increases in air pollution

The high level of air pollution that is now ruling in the capital, and many other cities, has caused the number of citizens seeking medical help to increase. The most endangered are the children. Air quality in Pristina in recent months has reached alarming numbers. According to the Center for measuring air quality, established by the American Embassy, the pollution rate has reached up to 400 ppm. High levels of unclean air have also affected the health of residents in the capital.
Kosovo University Clinical Clinic Director Drita Telaku told public television that the largest number of children to seek medical assistance have been registered in this clinic in recent days. Speaking of the impact of polluted air on children's health, Telaku has urged citizens to avoid exposure to children during a polluted air.
In the respiratory system, especially in children with greater bronkial sensitivity, they are more affected. Hence, it is always the advice for parents: Put a scarf in your children's mouth when you want to go out. Possibly in the evening hours or when you notice it's fog, don't send the kids out.
