So has a UN spokesman, recalling the UN Resolution for Kosovo 1244.
“The Secretary-General has stressed that UN Security Council Resolution 1244 provides the only legal framework for international security presence, the Kosovo Force (KFOR), which has been given the responsibility to secure a safe environment in Kosovo”, said Farhan Haq, UN deputy spokeswoman, reports Chinese news agency “Xinhua<4>.
The UN chief, according to him, calls on all parties involved to exercise restraint and refrain from actions that could raise tensions and cause us to step back in the EU-attensive dialogue on normalising relations between Kosovo and Serbia.
Yesterday's Kosovo Assembly has voted to change legal package, with which the role of KSF from Security Force to Military Force, but without a change of name.
