The history of the sin - laden Bible city of Sodom is one of those destruction stories that continues to raise public awareness today.

Theologian Philip Silvia from the University of Nee Mexico recently discovered his theory that the ancient city was destroyed by a large meteor, the Kosovo Press broadcasts.

Sodom has been known from ancient times as a city where sin and lawlessness prevailed, to the extent that it cannot be compared to modern cities. According to the book of Genesis, since God could not find ten innocent people in the city, he sent his angels who destroyed it, writes The Winter News.

On February 15, 2013, a meteor exploded in the Chelyabinsk region, a city of a million people east of the Ural Mountains in Russia. For a moment, the meteor was lit more than the sun and reached a speed of 64,373 km/h in the atmosphere.

Although it seemed to explode much lower, the meteor was at a height of 30km, and gas clouds flew further into the air. Many meteors survived the explosion and shot to Earth.

People recall a huge wave of explosion that produced a large quantity of sound and vibrations that blew up windows at about 7,000 buildings in the region, and more than 1,000 people sought medical assistance for injuries from broken glass.

Scientists estimate that the energy released is 26 to 33 times larger than that produced by the atom bomb in Hiroshima. The Meteor stretched to 17m and had about 10,000 tons before the explosion.

Another famous event, with a meteor about six times its main role in Chelyabinsk, was recorded in the Siberian area. Tunguska's explosion in 1908 was an unexplained explosion that took place near the Tunguska River. Sometimes it's called the Siberian Great Blast. The asteroid supposedly fell and burned on the surface.

Although there is no information about whether there are any victims in this densely populated area, but for example, if they hit New York, unfortunately, the city will feel the power of 1,000 devastating bombs used in the Hiroshima attack.

It is this scenario that Sylvia believes happened in Sodom. He believes that the meteor exploded over the Middle East and created a large circle at the northeast end of the Dead Sea in modern Jordan.

According to him, the Middle Mountains area was inhabited some 2,500 years before the Bronx Age. Excavations conducted in this area in five different countries illustrate this, and 120 other countries in the area have been examined. He and the rest of his team believe that this region was home to the ancient city of Sodom.

The most important archaeological discoveries in this area are the remains of Tall el-Hammam, and researchers have been digging in this section for 13 years. Their findings, they say, indicate a large meteor similar to that of Chelyabinsk and Tunguska.

Evidence proving that it is the city of Sodom that indicates sexual relations between men and boys. It is the largest city in the region, and Sodom is referred to in the Bible as one of the <x0 city's <x1).

There are other similarities with the ancient city. So they say that Sodom had a great protective wall, and Tall El-Hammam was 60 to 90 million bricks, and eight feet thick at the top, and forty at the end.

Geology and words in the Bible correspond to a city abandoned 700 years ago, in the center of civilization at that time and a fertile region. Silva says that people are surprised by what happened in the city and have avoided it for centuries.

They consider it to be the fiery vortex, the meteor, what may have frightened Lot's wife, as found in the Bible, from turning her into columns of salt. Lot and his daughters lived after Sodom's destruction in solitude. They were instructed by God's angels not to look back into the city if they did not want to change to “salt color”.

The city walls suddenly disappeared 3700 years ago, according to data from their foundations, which are the only remains.

It seems logical that an explosion of a meteor over the Dead Sea could lead to saltwater or gas overlapping so that salt would cover the entire landscape. So he would become uninhabited. Research shows that the top layer of the earth was disturbed and that the underground was below contaminated salt, which could have been a good reason why people were avoiding the region.

Sylvia's research team believes an event called “3.7 K Yr BP Kickkar” was huge, but not like the one in Tunguska, in 1908.

As history shows that something like this has happened, it is supposed to be repeated. That's why the American government and many others are investing billions of dollars in the development of programs that can predict and perhaps destroy all dangerous objects moving to Earth from the Universe.
