The town of Barcelona in Spain is on alert Monday, after the US State Department warned the danger of terrorist attacks during the Christmas holiday. Care grew around areas where transport vehicles move, including buses in the Las Ramblas part of Barcelona, writes AFP.
“Terrorists can attack with little or no warning, targeting tourist locations, transportation centres and other public areas” warned the State Department's Bureau of consular affairs Monday through Titter.
Asked during an interview in Rac1 radio, Regional Interior Minister Meluel Buch said police “are engaged in handling this threat”.
Journal “El Peridico de Catalunya” announced that regional police have issued an internal circuit saying that one can attempt to hit the crowd with buses.
