The building will be open to personalities and the public that will show their respect by Wednesday, and visitors will pass by former President Bush's coffin. He died in Texas, at his home, Friday night at the age of 94.
The building will be open to personalities and the public that will show their respect by Wednesday, and visitors will pass by former President Bush's coffin. He died in Texas, at his home, Friday night at the age of 94.
George H.W. Bush, who served a mandate at the White House 1989-1993, will be honoured with a state funeral Wednesday at the National Cathedral in Washington, from where he will leave for burial Thursday on the grounds of his Texas presidential library.
State funerals are traditionally held for current or former presidents and other president-appointed officials.
The state funeral is a ten-day event and consists of three phases -- ceremonies within the state where the official lived, ceremonies within Washington, and ceremonies in the state in which the individual has chosen to be buried.
