Authorities ban 100 Russians' entry into Ukraine

The border service in Ukraine said 100 Russians were banned from entering the country on December 1st. The news comes a day after Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko announced that Russian males aged 16-60 will be barred from entering Ukraine during the period of emergency that will last 30 days. This move [...]
The move comes after the transition of tensions between Kiev and Moscow after Russian coast guards opened fire on three Ukrainian military ships and their team in Crime, the Ukraine Peninsula that was annexed in 2014.
Border spokesman in Ukraine, Andriy Demchenko, said most of those who would cross the border have not given strong reasons for the visit. He added that some of them did not possess the necessary documents to pass. President Poroshenko said this decision has been made to prevent Russian military entry into the territory. Russia's Foreign Ministry has blamed Ukraine's Government for decisions that harm ordinary citizens.
