American senators have said that after a private meeting with CIA representatives, they are more convinced than ever that Saudi crown prince Mohammed bin Salman had a role in the murder of Saudi journalist Jamal Khahoggi.
Senator Lindsey Graham said he had a very confident “that Salman was involved in the Khashogg murder.
Republican South Carolina described the prince as the crazy “” and dangerous “”.
So far Saudis have accused 11 people of the case, but denied that the prince was involved.
Khashoggi has been killed at the Saudi consulate in Istanbul, and according to data his body has been disbanded shortly after the assassination.
Besides, he has said he cannot support the involvement of Saudi Arabia in the Yemen war or sell Saudi government weapons as long as the prince is in power.
These comments have come after a meeting of the Senate for Foreign Affairs Committee with CIA Director Gina Haspel on Tuesday.
Senator Bon Menandez, Democrat of New Jersey, has promoted these views.
He has said the US needs “to send a clear message that such steps are unacceptable on the” world scene.
The US Senate is planning to vote on a proposal to end US military support for the Saudi-led coalition in Yemen, as members of both parties have postponed the resolution last week.
