Ambassador Costett, in this message, stresses that Kosovo's citizens should see that the law applies equally to all and that it is used to punish corrupting behaviour, especially when leaders are government officials and their closest associates.
I urge you to look beyond personal interests and earnestly seek the justice and accountability that citizens want and deserve. Accounting means violators of the law in prison; confiscating illegally acquired property, as well as concrete deadlines for change. The time has come for the promise of accountability to come true. ”
“Java Anti-Corruption 2018” starts on Sunday, where the NGO coalition will hold a meeting with media editors who will be unveiled this week's detailed agenda of activities. Part of this Coalition are: Kosovo Institute for Justice (IKD), Group for Jury and Political Studies (GLPS), Organisation Get up, GAP Institute, Progress initiative (INPO), Institute K IPRED, Columbus Institute and ACDC. The 2018 Anti-Corruption Week is supported by the American Embassy in Kosovo.
