The Ambassador of the United States of America to Kosovo, Philip Costnet, has talked about corruption in Kosovo today, claiming that fighting corruption is not easy, but we must be determined to fight this phenomenon.
Costnet has declared there are many ways to fight corruption, but innovation and creativity are among the key components in fighting corruption in all forms.
The American ambassador also said that we should not accept and stand aside by not fighting corruption and expecting corrupt individuals to change their behavior; nor should we expect others to fight this phenomenon in our name.
There are many ways to fight corruption. Innovation, creativity is among the key components in fighting corruption in all forms. In Kosovo there are persons who have already been locked up in this crucial job... We must recognize that we should not stand aside and cannot expect corrupt individuals to change their behavior. But we cannot expect others to fight corruption in our name”, Costnet said.
The American ambassador has said fighting corruption is no easy task, but some determined individuals can become causers of this phenomenon to be fought, reports the paper.net.
The discovery and imprisonment of corrupts is not an easy task. But, in communities like Chikago, New York justice prevailed because of some individuals who were determined to fight this “phenomenon, he said in his speech at the premiere of the documentary “Corruption -- no one on law”, production RTV Dukagjini in co-operation with the US Embassy in Kosovo.
