Albulen Haxhiu appears in court: I've never been part of “The people's eyes”

MP Haxhiu, as well as other witnesses, have been heard at Wednesday's session, which was held at the Constitutional Court in Pristina, in the case known as “People's Eye”, reports “Justice Voct for”.

In this case, for preparing terrorist acts or criminal acts against the constitutional order and security of the Republic of Kosovo, for serious attempted murder, as well as other criminal acts, charges Sadri Ramabaja, Murat Jashari, Ragip Sallova, Avni Llumnica, Sabit Berisha, Bexhet Luzha, Halim Halim, Bajrush Konjusha, Lireje Luzha and Rexhep Toplana.

Eight witnesses were invited for Wednesday's session, while only five were present, Muhamet Kelmendi, Shaip Muja, Nuredin Ibishi, and Albulen Haxhiu.

At this session, MP Haxhiu has said she recognises accused Sadri Ramabaya as they were co-party, while for the other accused, she has said she had only heard after the case had happened to Azem Vlases.

She has also been asked if she recognises Romanian national by the name of Mona, as she allegedly had held conversations with accused Murat Jashari now.

I have heard Mona's name as a Romanian citizen. I only heard her name at the portal, but I haven't met such a man”, Haxhiu said.

Prosecutor Sylla Hoxha, has said she has been invited as a witness to Haxhi, since according to him, she has been assigned by this organisation for duties she would carry out in the future, but Haxhiu has no knowledge of this.

However, against this prosecutor's clarification, lawyer Ramiz Krasniqi, a defender of Sadri Ramabaya, has addressed the remark saying the prosecutor has offended them for reading the paperwork, but according to him a witness should be cooled to say something you know and not something you don't know.

While prosecutor Hoxha said it is a test and should be explained that it is being referred to the organisation “The People's Eye”, so witness Haxhiu has been invited.

MP Haxhiu has said that once again she has not been contacted or informed about this organisation.

I'm a public person and I can't know how someone uses my name. I have made a statement to the police and thought that my testimony will be completed. For me this is unacceptable and absurd. I declared that I know Sadri Ramabaya because she's part of the VV, as far as I know, I don't believe such an intellectual activist can perform such a work”, Haxhiu said in her testimony.

At Tuesday's session, his testimony was also given by MP Shaip Muja, who has also been invited by the prosecution.

He has stated that he had not been aware that he was part of the list of people who were planning to be executed by the so-called organisation “People's Eye”.
