She is Ljiljana The Lion, the well-known teacher who was praised a year ago as the “teacher of the year” in Albania.
Ljiljana has worked for 38 years at nine-year-old school “Pasko Vasa” in Shkodra, while since 2005 he served as a major force in educating children confined because of blood feuds, reports “Oranews”.
Teacher Ljiljana has been knocking from door to door for years, even walking for hours, to give children confined between four walls the opportunity to learn like all the other students.
For its dedication and contribution, in 2014, Centre “New Horizont” in collaboration with the Ministry of Education gave the teacher Liliana the “award The golden rose”, while in 2017 the American Embassy honored it with the “award Kuraya's wife”
In her description on the official page of “Global teacher prize”, it says that if Ljiljana wins, she will open a multifunctional centre for the education of confined children, orphans and others who do not regularly attend school.
This centre will have technology classes, computers, sports classes and art to enable children to develop their talents.
Final teachers in “Global teacher prize” are selected from all over the world, from those who teach in remote mountainous villages but in the city to teachers in the poorest and violent regions of the world.
The global award of teachers” launched in March 2014 by the Varkey Foundation serves to assess the efforts of teachers worldwide to be recognized and honored.
