An authentic Albanian restaurant in New York is showing its clients a new world of food for them, accompanied by ancient-style decorations. Restaurant named “What's wrong with” is turning visitors back in time through its appearance.
In the restaurant walls through the photographs, there are nineteenth century Balkans, and besides photographs, you can see artifacts that are even older. For example, hanging on the wall is the traditional dress of Albanians. The restaurant owner took several years to collect them. He has collected the artefacts every time he has gone to Albania and Kosovo.

“Here is a part of our history, tradition and culture. It's the story of our grandparents”, says Elona Paya. She's the chef of the restaurant and cooks in a kitchen and barbecues open in front of restaurant guests.
At the Albanian restaurant, you can enjoy traditional corn bread, different meat combinations and cheese. First, the restaurant was pizzeria, but landlord Ramiz Kukaj served pizzas and pies along with several other Albanian specialties, while later began bringing various artifacts to the restaurant.

That was just the beginning. Last December, he decided to open the restaurant that now offers many traditional specialties of Albanian cuisine. He named it “What has been happening to the”, which is an old expression of hospitality in the country that has suffered a long time from the communist regime. Found in Belmont, behind “Arthur Avenue”, the restaurant looks like a live museum.
Its view resembles old medieval houses, ancient tools hanging on the wall, and the ceiling built by wood. At the end of the restaurant menu, it says: “Most of our dishes contain eggs, flour, and pollen products. As a result, people who are allergic to lactose and gluten may do well to think twice before enjoying them.
The restaurant menu doesn't seem to be rich in flour. It is filled with food names that are difficult to express but easy to love. These include leeks, sleeps, and mantias.

There's not even missing a lighter. In addition to these foods, the restaurant stands out with its baklava. At this restaurant, it is an amazing feeling to enjoy Turkish coffee, served by the ibrick. The whole ministry seems like a festive ceremony, which well illustrates the welcoming atmosphere, which is part of the restaurant.
