4,140 betting points have been closed in Albania

The betting companies have not expected December 31st for closing tear points. At the National Business Centre, 4,140 sports betting points have so far been declared, making up over 90 percent of the official registered points throughout the country.

In Albania, 3 are sports betting operators. Except company “Top Start”, owner of “Euroroloto” that is continuing to work in part, the two other societies have notified authorities of closing the task.

Sources close to companies suggest that the ban on work is permanent and that the closure before deadline is linked to liquidation between them and the points operating through their licenses, tch broadcasts.

Meanwhile, electronic casinos have not yet lowered their onions. Being in direct management by companies and in number many times more reduced than betting points, liquidating them is easier to manage.

But will this be the “end of madness”? Under the law adopted by the majority, as of January 1, 2019, the organization, development, and mediation of lucky games, sports betting, and lottery are the responsibility of the state.
