During this year it was declared that only two new cases of missing persons at the request of family members have been recorded, meanwhile, at 14 locations in Kosovo.
The leader of the Government Commission for Missing Persons, Conception Gara, said that only two of these locations have resulted in mortar waste.
“From the following 14 locations, two locations have resulted in the discovery and exhumation of mortore wastes of at least six people, however, only after all necessary forensic examinations, including identification through DNA analysis, can the number of exhumed persons” be confirmed, Gara said.
On one occasion, he indicated that this year, they were sent for re-erviance of the 45 cases of missing persons.
Similarly, Gara said that during this year the budget has increased for support of families of the unemployed from 250 euros to 400.
The race has said that even one of the challenges that commissions and working groups have in these cases are unidentified mortar remains and lack of reliable information.
And Jahja Luka, adviser to Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj, said the issue of missing persons is one of the main issues of Kosovo-Serbia dialogue. He said this issue will always be more difficult, because according to him, regional agreements are not being implemented.
He promised continued support for family members and showed that there is a 12 per cent budget increase in 2019.
He said that if necessary, the government would provide not 25 thousand euros, but also 25m euros if the dawning of those cases is guaranteed, meanwhile, criticised the media, which, according to him, during the report, the news emphasis had put it on the budget sharing for those cases.
Meanwhile, the chairman of the Government Commission for Undiscovered Persons, Prenke Love, said the Commission is open to co-operation and suggestions for whitening these cases.
