The chairman of this commission, Ismail Kurteshi, said the cost to this bill is affordable to the budget.
We've taken your proposal without any explanation, and the commission's nats have wanted to hear what's the difference in Article 7 from the basic retirement pension that you implement. I think the cost of this law will be affordable to the Kosovo budget”, Kurteshi said.
While Mevlude Shala from the Ministry of Finance said changing the word basic pension and the pension they accomplish has been made because they do not mix.
“Pensional, I have different pensions, basic pension is age pension, we've been thinking about taking down basic pension and leaving retirement and we've got an injustice going on. There is no other note, but since there are many pension schemes and if you don't want to mix”, Shala said.
But AAK MP Teuta Haxhiu has expressed sceptical about this change.
We're not talking about age retirement, we're talking about teachers. We've agreed as a commission that despite the pensions they have they get extra. If the Ministry of Labour and Goodness arranges, they'll get their basic and extra pension. If we touch anything here, I doubt they get the extra”, Haxhi claimed.
Commission member from P DS, Driton Caushi, said the Roma, Ashkali and Egyptian communities have sought tools for learning centres.
“We have worked on this Law and we have come to a solution for this category that has been adopted without any opposition. We agreed with the finance ministry that this law would violate the budget. What the hostage is that most of us agreed to a law that was accepted by the Ministry of Finance we changed again. The attitude of the subject that I represent is to divide so many pension schemes I cannot go on indefinitely. I will abstain because as a commission we have made another law. We can't risk future generations”, Chaushi said.
With 6 votes for and 2 abstentions the Law in question has passed and is already expected to go to the Kosovo Assembly Chief.
While, the initial meeting with the quality council members will not be held due to a meeting they have had.
