Women raped during the last war are expressed through art exhibit

Ulrika Richardson, representative of UN Women in Kosovo, has said that through this exhibition, the voice of women raped during the war was raised.
This exhibition has many colors, which in reality give hope for the survivors of sexual violence during the recent conflict, still does not feel their voice, justice has not been offered for them, yet there is no voice remaining”, she said.
She stressed that this is a way of expressing the serious experiences of life that have suffered this category of our society.
There are many survivors who speak, but many more still fear and shame to speak in public. This exhibition, this way of expression, is one of the ways they can express themselves and represent what they are going through in their lives”, she said.
While artist Blerta Syla, who is leading and the workers of this exhibition, has said that such works express freedom, hope, and hope.
For all the time that the gallery has lasted, we thought so and did so, so all these works are the product of this work that we did so lovingly. These women, despite the pain they have now, and how many years, as if they were released, lost all of this at the time that we developed this worker”, Syla said.
The exhibition aims to set up civic awareness for survivors of sexual violence, reflected on the restrictions they have lived through the years, as a result of the prejudices they face.
