Even at these meetings, the empty topic of the conversation was Kosovo's European agenda, respectively, the need to make the decision within this year for visa liberalisation for Kosovo citizens.
Wessel once again confirmed that Kosovo has met all the established criteria and that its citizens deserve to move freely into the Schengen area, as do other European citizens.
He also stressed the need to strengthen co-operation between Kosovo and Belgium in all spheres, with particular emphasis on that of the economy.
The chairman of the Belgian Parliament's House of Representatives, Siegfried Bracke, and chairman of the Association of Foreign Relations of this Room, Dirk Van der Maelen, confirmed the continuation of their state's support for Kosovo in the future, both on the international level and on domestic developments.
Wessel said after meetings that Kosovo citizens should know that among the European Union, Kosovo has great friends. He said his visits to these countries concerned delivering Kosovo's voice to their leaderships and confirming its steadfast Euro-Atlantic vision, with the demand for faster steps on the journey, especially for the pending process, visa liberalisation.
Regarding visa liberalisation, the head of the Parliament said that EU High Representative Federica Moghrini himself would stand by Kosovo citizens regarding this process.
