He has commented on statements by Austria's Chancellor Sebastian Kurz, who stayed in Kosovo yesterday, where visa liberalisation voiced sceptical that it might happen soon.
Wessel, after the Assembly of the Parliament's Headship, has said the EU initially said the visa liberalisation issue was not of political but technical character.
While now, according to him, there are rumours that it is political.
The arrival of the Austrian Chancellor to Kosovo is good news. Austria has the EU presidency, we expect to proceed with the visa liberalisation issue at the Council of Ministers. We know there are skeptical states, but so far we are told this: visa liberalisation is not political, but purely technical. Now we're beginning to hear rumors that it's political too. It will be a blow against the European Union's own values”, Veselin said.
The Speaker of the Parliament said that if visas are not liberalised soon as promised, then he will see this EU behaviour as racism expressed against Albanians. /Periscopi/
