At least 42 people have been confirmed dead, making it the deadliest fire in the country's history.
In a video published in social media, there is a large highway filled with cars and very close to mass fire.
A helicopter has been filmed throwing water for extinguishing the flames.
Fire has swept both ends and out. In total, more than 8,000 firefighters across the country are fighting flames that destroyed more than 7,000 structures and burned an area of more than 325 square miles [325 sq km].
