Every year thousands of people give up Kosovo's citizenship. During this year's 10th month (January 2018) alone, 4831 citizens left their homeland to continue living somewhere around the world. For the past five years, there are more than 30,000 citizens who left Kosovo's passport for a foreigner. Social group researchers say citizens are choosing to live far from the country of origin and towards EU countries because they have lost hope that in Kosovo it will be well.

High levels of immigration are taking place due to the country's leadership. This political class even stole the last hope of its citizen's progress in this country, notes sociologist Besim Golopen.

One of the main reasons leading up to giving up Kosovo's citizenship is the fact that many states (austria, Germany, etc) do not allow dual citizenship.

“The reason to give up the citizenship of the Republic of Kosovo comes from gaining citizenship that any country primarily in the European Union, which does not allow two citizenship for citizens of states that are not part of the European Union”, the Interior Ministry's response is said.

Furthermore, the MPB provides statistics that during January-October 2018, 4831 people have been released from citizenship in the Republic of Kosovo. From that figure, 2322 belong to the female and 2509 male gender.

What are the main reasons for migration? Professor of UP's sociologist branch, Besim Golopen, says that the difficult social situation, corruption, organised crime, lack of justice, fragile health system, and so on are some factors that citizens urge them to leave the country.

“The difficult social and economic situation, where, in the absence of finding a job, unsafe work, lack of job security, lack of health or time health, high levels of corruption and organised crime, fragile system of justice, clans and others, have caused many citizens to lose their last hope that in Kosovo there are either prospects in the years ahead so, as a result, citizens have been forced to emigrate to developed countries, to ensure better prosperity for themselves, and their families, Mah1>, numbers the social migration factors.

The emphasis on “the top” on the high degree of Kosovo immigration in the past two decades is undoubtedly the country's political class of leadership.

The first “We have the driving factors so, the difficult social and economic situation where, in the absence of finding a job, uncertain work, lack of job insurance, lack of health or time health system, high levels of corruption and organised crime, fragile justice system, the”, Golopen told Express.

“While, the attractive factors primarily concern the pursuit of a better life, family reunion, better education and health, and the most secure perspective for their future and their families”, he continued.

According to MPB statistics, there are other nationalities that gained Kosovo citizenship. During January-October 2018, R citizenship. Kosovo has won 298 people.

<x0,200 Albanians, 12 Serbs, 5 Turks, and 81 persons of other nationalities”, the MPB says.

However, a similar trend of giving up citizenship has occurred in the past few years. It is noteworthy that all 5871 citizens abandoned their citizenship in 2016.

In the last five years of citizenship, all 27 thousand and 441 people gave up.

Sociologist added that from this situation it can be managed with job generation, the establishment of the quality of education, health, establishment of a meritocracy system, etc.

Today more than 230 million people in the world do not live in their country of origin.
