Thaci from Brussels: We will make maximum efforts to reach agreement

Hashim Thaci, president of Kosovo, has said that at Thursday's meeting with Serbian President Aleksandar Vuciq, he will make maximum efforts to approach positions with Serbia for reaching a final, legally binding agreement.

Shortly before this meeting in Brussels, Thaci has said that with comprehensive agreements it means mutual recognition and Kosovo membership in the United Nations Organisation. He has reiterated that it will not be easy and that there are obstacles until the agreement is reached.

“We are here to hold the next meeting for the final process of opportunity for reaching agreement between the two states, legally binding agreement for each other on the international level. The comprehensive agreement meaning mutual recognition and membership of Kosovo in the United Nations. I know it's not easy. But the agreement is the best opportunity for the two countries' European future. We'll make maximum efforts to reach agreement. It is the next opportunity organised by Federica Moghrini, the European Union with the support of America”, Thaci said before the meeting to reporters.
