Prince Khaled bin Talal's relatives shared photos in social media this weekend, showing the prince greeting his family.
The prince, who was held for nearly a year in custody, is a grandson of King Salman.
Prince Khaled's brother, Prince Alwed bin Talal, was among dozens of princes and other high figures, arrested for corruption last year.
The latest move comes amid fierce pressure on Saudi Arabia's crown prince Mohammed bin Salman over the murder of journalist Jamal Khashoggi.
Analysts say Saudi authorities seem to be trying to ease the crisis by increasing support from within the royal family.
Even the fight against corruption, it reportedly had a setback to strengthen the powers of the Crown prince.
