Proposal Serbs

Northern Kosovo Serbs have protested about an hour in several countries in northern Kosovo against the Kosovo Government's 100 per cent tax decision on Serbian products entering Kosovo. Northern Serbs, but as Serbian media and other Kosovo countries have reported, angry even with Kosovo Special Forces Action ROSU in northern Mitrovica, with whom four persons (Serbs) have been arrested, among whom two Kosovo police officers -- suspected of participating in the assassination of SDP leader Oliver Ivanovic in January this year -- have asked the Kosovo government immediately to lift the measure of ban on access to goods from Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as to immediately release those arrested.

About 3 thousand Serbs from northern municipalities have reacted quietly at the vicinity of the Jarinje border point, at the cross in Rudare of Zvecan, have been blocking the border checkpoint in Brnjak for about an hour, as well as the regional route to Zubin Potok's Zupca.

In the protest in Rudare, attended by about 2,500 Serbs, Serbian List leader and North Mitrovica chairman Goran Rakic, said the protest is Pristina's meaningless decision on the 100 per cent tax on Serbian products. He has also criticised, as he has said, “the brutal intervention of ROSU in the north and the arrest of four Serbian citizens”.

What we're always looking for is to reveal the authors of Ivanovic's murder, while they're always silent. They used this opportunity to brutally intervene in residences, beat and torture. They have also tried to arrest Serbian List Vice President Milan Radojicic with the same reason for Ivanovic's murder. We ask for evidence, not to interfere, because tomorrow they can do the same for us. The situation is alarming, because after imposing a 100 per cent tax on Serbian products, it could be left without the major life articles”, Rakic said.

Number of enemies: We invite Pristina to immediately release those arrested

Meanwhile, Serbian List Deputy Chairman Igor S individuali has invited Pristina to immediately release Serb detainees and immediately remove the 100 per cent tax on Serbian products. He has also asked KFOR to prevent the escape of the situation. He has warned that if Pristina does not lift the decision on the measures the Serbs have taken will be obliged to continue with protests, because, as he said, “Monday and Tuesday there will be less food”.

We send a clear message, today there's been an hour of protest, if the measures do not withdraw we will be forced to continue with protests. If there could be some milk available today, some bread, no tomorrow, or day-to-day”, said Singh, who has asked for security organs to be at the level of work and their duty not to allow the eclipse of violence.

The protest at the cross in Rudare of Zvecan also spoke for Zvecan's Acting Organisation, Ivan Teodosiyevic. / Z WAR
