No person under 18 will be given these two products, based on the ordinance signed by Trade and Industry Minister Andrew Shala.
Whoever does this will be fined between 1,000 and 10,000 euros. In the absence of law enforcement, which prohibits the sale of tobacco and alcohol to people under the age of 18, the Ministry of Commerce issued a warrant that imposes the Inspectorate on implementing the consumer protection law, which should stop this phenomenon.
Trade Minister Andrew Shala said controls by the Inspectorate will be added to implement this ordinance.
Shala says she has asked the central Inspectorate to interact with municipal ones so that tobacco and alcohol are not sold to children.
He stresses that all points of sale will be condemned in line with law in force.
According to the law, the penalty for those proven to have sold tobacco and alcohol to persons under the age of 18 is between 1000 and 10,000 euros.
