Last week, the Pristina municipality was forced to declare a state of emergency to intervene in the vicinity of a residential bloc near “B” street.
But the best situation is not even along the open sewage collectors in two neighbourhoods, reports 038 on KTV.
The severe condition continues to be environmental along the river Matt, in the same name neighborhood and “Calabria”. This, since this river has long served as a sewer picker and its smell has become unbearable.
Even residents of Calabria say that the municipality has had to declare a state of emergency in this part, since the smell has become unbearable.
The capital's first one, Shpend Ahmeti, continues to say that expropriation problems are holding back the continuing work on closing the collector.
But he adds that he will consider the possibility of emergency intervention.
Ahmeti, who says that channeling problems have half the capital, blames the construction and irregular, unlicensed locks on the sewer network.
According to him, the problem lies in the huge gap between investments in construction and infrastructure since post-war, while part of the solution is the construction of two collectors that would be linked to the sewage treatment plant.
The first of the capital insists that after the water, the channeling is a priority, but for this job, millions of investments in the long term plan are needed, as no longer can continue with temporary interventions.
