That's what MTI Minister Andrew Shala told Online Economy.

Shala has told EO that import of goods from these two states has dimmed the country's economy for many years.

According to Shala, over six days of this move has been in effect, over 300 thousand euros in additional revenues have been invested and imports from Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina below 50 percent have been reduced.

Bosnia and Serbia should eventually start treating Kosovo properly, start treating it as a state, and no longer apply barriers that are being applied in relation to Kosovo, in relation to Kosovo's businesses, in relation to Kosovo's foreign policy, in all spheres and economics, but also political times”.

In the six-day report alone in the six-day period that has been in force, Kosovo has invested over 300 thousand euros in additional revenues from the application of this measure, which means it is down to about 70 to 80 thousand euros a day, but what's the most important, imports from Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina have fallen below 50 per cent to 80 thousand euros per day are being Incasu, but what's the most important, imports from Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina have fallen below 50 per cent”.

Shala told EO that she does not believe there will be price movements, even suggesting to Kosovo importers begin to navigate in other products.

“I don't notice and I don't believe that there will be price moves, I suggested to all Kosovar importers, to begin to navigate in other products. Kosovo has local products, but Kosovo also has the opportunity to import from other countries which in this case are friends of Kosovo, not like Bosnia and Serbia, how they are continuing to deal with Kosovo”.

Shala has said that Albanians' request from the Presevo Valley for the removal of this move, because at a meeting they complained that it affects Albanian businesses as well, will then be considered a decision on what will be decided on that fee.

There's a company, which is a company, if we're correct, the Fluid company, which a production unit has in Presevo. The commission that is within the MTI compound of MTI officials, customs, the Ministry of Finance, is considering whether or whether the fee will be removed or the fee removed 10 percent of this company, treating this company as local company”.

Shala stressed that she has asked local producers to increase the quality of goods to be exported more easily outside the Kosovo market.

He said domestic producers are also supported at international fairs.

My priorities are local production. MTI is taking all steps aimed at supporting local producers, while I also asked local producers that they also have the support we're giving them, I have the request to start improving quality. MTI in addition to other aspects, even this measure is in favour of domestic production, and we are also focused on the possibility, which means we are supporting the local producer that his products can be as easily exported to the external market as possible. We really support them at international fairs so they can represent their products on the external market”.

The minister has indicated that there have been problems in the law for strategic investment, which he said has called for change and after that change, said the first applications of foreign investors will begin.

“As far as the law is concerned about strategic investments, there have been some problems or difficulties that have expressed foreign companies interested in investing in Kosovo, some difficulties in the form of application and application mode. I have requested the change of those legal acts, they have only been changed, they are now in public consultation, the moment when the new administrative instruction is adopted, we hope to continue very soon with the investors' first applications, already interested in strategic investments”.
